Congratulations to AAJA member Aki Soga, editorial page editor of the Burlington (Vt.) Free Press, and Executive Editor Michael Townsend for being Pulitzer Prize finalists for editorial writing. Their campaign resulted in the state’s first reform of open government laws in 35 years, reducing legal obstacles that helped shroud the work of government officials. Aki is a graduate of AAJA’s Executive Leadership Program (ELP).
