Tokyo had an extremely insightful study group or ‘benkyo-kai’ style session with Shigeaki Koga, special advisor to the wildly popular Osaka mayor Toru Hashimoto, who is the leader of the up and coming Japanese third party “Osaka Isshin-no-kai.” The off-the-record talk was eye opening and will surely be helpful for AAJA Tokyo members such as DJ’s Kosaku Narioka, NHK World’s Rina Nakano and new member Cindy Tse in the coming months as Hashimoto’s party members gear up for election campaigning this Fall.
