The South Asian Journalists Association is taking application for its reporting fellowship as part of its mission to encourage in-depth coverage of South Asia and the South Asian diaspora. The first round of applications is due October 15.
A total of up to US$20,000 may be given out annually, divided among projects or a single project at SAJA’s discretion. Each fellowship award is typically between US$3,000 to US$7,000.
Open to freelancers and staff journalists in any medium, the fellowships are meant to encourage in-depth reporting projects by providing grants to cover a portion of reporting expenses.
More information and application on the SAJA website.
Can you tell me for how long is this fellowship and which state? I am a new york times reporter in Afghanistan.
Thanks
Jawad
